Dear Labor Leader & members,
It is with great pride
that I announce that our Space Coast AFL/CIO labor council has been recognized as a local A. Philip Randolph Institute chapter of
this national AFL-CIO affiliate. Under the leadership of Phyllis Hancock, our local APRI chapter has been
active recruiting membership for voter registration/education in the Space Coast & throughout Brevard County.
Warm congratulations & thanks to Phyllis and all members on gaining recognition as a APRI chapter .
I would strongly encourage
you to consistently make announcements at your union meetings and include information in your union newsletters concerning
our local APRI chapter. Our Space Coast Labor Council cannot afford to loose momentum with regards to this
national affiliate. We need to encourage our members to join and attend APRI meetings as well as participate
in voter registration drives.
Your local union can
also support our APRI chapter by becoming an organization member. While the cost is only $100 per year
for union Organization & $25 for Individual, that money will insure that our local
APRI chapter can continue to provide voter registration, education, Get-Out-the-Vote and operational expenses.
With APRI's self sufficiency, our Space Coast CLC will once again be recognized on a state and national level as one
of the few that not only meets, but exceeds the suggestions set forth by national AFL-CIO and your strategic plan.
We need your support in this process.
Please make check payable to A. Philip Randolph Institute Space Coast

I am enclosing an APRI membership information.
In Unity,
Space Coast AFL/CIO President
